Hiking: Faia to Avenc de la Font del Faig, Berguedà
Embark on an unforgettable hiking adventure, starting near Faia in Gisclareny, Berguedà. This trail leads you to the highest point at the Avenc de la Font del Faig, close to Guardiola de Berguedà, and back.
From the start, you'll be on the Camí dels Empedrats, with a moderate incline, testing your endurance from the get-go. As you hike, you'll feel the ground under your boots and start to experience the stunning views around you. It's a great warm-up for what's to come!
As you ascend, the trail becomes more challenging with steeper sections. This is where you encounter the Avenc de la Font del Faig. At the summit, around 1800 meters, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views, a real sense of accomplishment, and an amazing opportunity to recharge. Expect around 1200 meters of ascent on this route, which takes around 400 minutes, so take your time and enjoy every moment.
The descent from the peak will lead you back down, and on the way you'll pass the lowest point, near Faia. As you descend, the descent is over 1200 meters, so control your speed and enjoy the views as you finish back near Faia.
This hike is about 12 kilometers long with a desnivel of around 900 meters. You will cover the distance at a pace of around 34 minutes per kilometer.
