Hiking from Rob Roy to Rob Roy
Embark on a thrilling hiking adventure that loops through the heart of the region. You'll begin and end your journey in Rob Roy, in the Jordan Valley. This route offers a diverse experience, testing your endurance and rewarding you with breathtaking views.
The trail starts at a relatively low elevation, offering a gentle warm-up before the ascent. You will traverse a mix of terrains, from well-maintained paths to sections with slightly rocky trails. You'll soon find yourself heading towards Yavne'el, which offers you stunning views of the Galilee region and a feeling of accomplishment as you reach the maximum elevation. This part of the trail presents some steeper sections, so pay close attention to your footing and consider using trekking poles for added stability.
As you descend, you'll pass through Menahamiya, at a lower elevation, a lovely area for a brief rest or a quick snack. Overall, expect a distance of around 28 kilometers, with significant ascents and descents. You'll spend approximately 2.5 hours actively hiking. The trail offers around 320 meters of elevation gain and similar descent. You’ll experience moments where you can test your physical limits.
