BTT Bnei Shimon to Khirbat Haf
Get ready for an exciting mountain biking adventure! This route takes you through the stunning landscapes of the Bnei Shimon Regional Council, near Beersheba in the South District of Israel.
Starting your ride near Bnei Shimon, you'll immediately encounter varied terrain. Expect a mix of rocky trails and smoother paths, which will test your skills and endurance from the get-go. As you begin, remember to maintain a good posture on your bike to absorb the bumps and navigate the terrain effectively. You'll be climbing, facing a desnivel acumulado of approximately 180 m, with an average ascent of around 0.33 m per kilometer. The anticipation builds for the high point of the ride!
As you approach the maximum elevation, near Bnei Shimon, take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views. You've reached around 512 meters, the highest point! The views are rewarding, especially if you stop to catch your breath.
The trail descends towards the lowest point near Khirbat Haf, or the "Golden Path" to get here, a little further down, around 332 meters in elevation. It's time for some downhill fun! The descent will require balance and control. With a top speed reaching about 33 km/h, the trail is fast.
The total distance of about 35 km will take you around 3 hours and 15 minutes, with an average speed of about 11 km/h, so make sure to get some rest!
