Get ready for a fantastic mountain biking experience! This route takes you through the beautiful landscapes near Hod HaSharon and Petah Tikva.
First, you'll start near the industrial area of Neve Ne'eman, Hod HaSharon. Here, you'll find yourself navigating a mix of terrains. You'll want to focus on a good posture and keep your zancadas short as you build up some speed over some initial, slightly rocky paths. It's a great warm-up to get your legs going.
Next, you'll climb towards the Romantic Trail near Kfar HaBatistim and near Petah Tikva. This is where you'll find your highest point on the ride. Keep your focus, and remember the climb will definitely test your endurance. You'll use your bike's gears. You will feel your efforts rewarded with the beautiful surroundings.
As you descend, passing by "Gesher HaDar" in Hod HaSharon, the challenge shifts to controlling your speed. You will appreciate the quick changes between smooth paths. Remember to lean back slightly, keep your eyes up and enjoy the ride.
You'll find yourself again at the Romantic Trail near Kfar HaBatistim. This area is perfect for a short break. Here, there are some more winding paths perfect for some more adventurous biking.
This route covers a distance of about 20 kilometers, with an accumulated elevation gain of about 24 meters. You can expect the ride to take around 2 hours and 20 minutes. Your maximum speed during the ride was around 28 km/h, but it included some stopped time – maybe a rest or two? The average speed was about 8.6 km/h.
