The trail begins at Ben Shemen Youth village, a peaceful starting point. As you venture out, you'll traverse varied landscapes, including some rocky sections and smoother paths, typical of the region. The ascent towards Gimzo will present a moderate challenge, requiring a steady pace and good footing. At its peak in Gimzo, you'll find the Tel Gimzo archaeological site, offering a glimpse into the past and panoramic views. Here, you can also visit the אנדרטת שלושת מפקדי ההגנה (Memorial to the Three Haganah Commanders), a poignant historical marker.
The terrain evolves as you descend, possibly encountering areas with light forestation and open fields. The lowest elevation point is near HaRimon, Ben Shemen, a tranquil spot before the final leg back.
