Hiking from HaCarmel Coast to Alon Valley
Get ready for an amazing hiking experience! This trail takes you from the HaCarmel Coast area to the Alon Valley, near Haifa, in Israel.
The hike starts at the HaCarmel Coast, an area near the city. Here, you'll likely find yourself starting on moderate paths. You can start by establishing a steady pace, and enjoying the fresh air and sea breeze. This initial part is a great way to warm up, as you are looking at a hike of around 26 km and a descent of approximately 575 meters.
As you ascend, the terrain becomes more varied, including some areas with steeper sections. Focus on your posture and use your poles if you have them. The route has an average ascent of about 0.26 m per kilometer, which means you will have a nice hike.
The peak is in the Alon Valley, where the trail reaches its maximum elevation of around 485 meters. You'll experience spectacular views from this point.
Remember to keep a pace of around 6.6 minutes per kilometer. It will take you almost 3 hours of movement, taking into account a small resting time of about 47 minutes during the route.
